New Cybersecurity Training Program Now Available Online

Cybersecurity is one of the biggest skills gaps in today’s job market. Canada is suffering from a major shortage with thousands of unfilled information security jobs.

The United States is short about half a million cybersecurity specialists, and experts predict we’ll have at least 2 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs worldwide by 2022.

Covid-19 has only added to the problem. As a huge segment of the global workforce shifts to work-from-home, hackers are taking advantage of remote network vulnerabilities.

Meanwhile, many cybersecurity specialists have been reassigned to IT support roles, helping team members get set up from remote locations.

The global consensus is clear: cyber threats are evolving at a faster pace than IT security teams can handle. We need more talent and we need it now.

Herzing College launched a new Cybersecurity training program to meet this need. It takes just 12 months and it's available online.

Find out what Herzing's Cybersecurity course has to offer.

Unique 12-month Cybersecurity Training Program

There are many cybersecurity training options out there. But most fall into two categories.

There are short bootcamps that run for just a few weeks. And there are longer, 2 to 3-year cybersecurity programs at the college and university level.

You won’t find much in between. That’s why we created a unique 12-month Cybersecurity diploma program.

This is the ideal length to cover comprehensive skills in IT security monitoring, defense, and disaster recovery.

Training is intensive, very hands-on, and focused on cutting-edge technologies and techniques.

☑️ 12-month program

☑️ 940 hours of cybersecurity training and labs

☑️ 5-week, 100-hour internship

This program is currently available online. Students can enrol at any time. Ontario student loans and grants are available to eligible applicants.

Internship Included

One of the best features of Herzing’s new Cybersecurity program is the 5-week internship. This is an excellent opportunity to tackle real-world security issues and connect with a local employer.

And unlike other colleges, Herzing finds the internship placement for you.

The cybersecurity internship includes 100 hours of work-based training, and is required to earn your diploma.
