The provincial government expects up to 1,000 network cabling jobs to become available between 2021 and 2025.
For newcomers with relevant prior education or experience, this program is a quick, affordable way to gain updated skills and transition into the Canadian workforce.

The Career Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping immigrants secure training and employment.
Their bridging programs are designed to help highly skilled internationally trained immigrants land jobs in a related field in Canada.
Herzing is partnering with The Career Foundation to train 120 immigrants in a customized network cabling course over the next three years.

Once they successfully complete the program, participants will be fully qualified for roles as network cabling specialists in Ontario.
This customized program runs for just 12 weeks in total.
That includes five weeks of communication and pre-employment training through The Career Foundation and seven weeks of technical training through Herzing College.
The training is funded by the Government of Ontario. Qualifying students only need to pay a nominal fee of $500.
